    On my Dahua NVR, if you are on 1 camera full screen, it is mainstream. If you have it split with only 4 cameras on the screen it is mainstream. But, if you have 6/8/12/16 cameras on screen they all are substream.

    UPDATE: As of now, it's still doing the same thing.. I swapped out the WD Green drive a long time ago, I have a WD Black in there for a few weeks now. It still does it, new POE switch and all. Anybody else have a last ditch idea?

    I got the TP Link 8port POE switch, I have it hooked up now. I will be testing it to see if I still have the same issue. It has to have been my POE switch, I have eliminated EVERYTHING about the setup, except for the NVR itself. I'll post back what I find out! I'm scared, I hope it fixes it lol!

    If you really wanted to add non working cameras in those areas, get real cameras and just mount them. It would be almost impossible for a person to know that they weren't recording. The decoy cameras always just look fake and everyone usually can tell the difference. I know it's extra money...

    I was going to say, check that your scheduling is setup correctly on each and EVERY day. It's probably something simple that's over looked. I did that on my NVR on the intelligent rules recording.

    I'd imagine maybe more movement in the image. Kind of like compression artifacts in action movies. You will see pixelation with blocky objects in fast motion scenes, or fire, smoke, etc.

    Borescope.

    There is a post somewhere around here of an HD one that a person bought on Amazon I believe it was. If you do some searching you should be able to find it, Amazon is iffy. Different sellers use the same description for things that they sell. So the problems happen, just like yours.

    Just for the information, when I'm logged into a camera on the webportal, when I'm changing settings for the video on 1 camera; brightness, sharpness, gamma, etc. After a couple minutes of changing settings, a couple of the other cameras will "drop out" Very weird.

    If a person really likes Chrome, get an older PORTABLE version of Chrome. For someone who doesn't know, If you download the PORTABLE version, it runs from the .exe without having to install it. You can have the PORTABLE version and the current updated version both running without any problems.
