    You are going to find that most cameras come in white. Instead of spray paint, I would think about matching the bezel or the whole camera to the color of your garage.

    The product I bought was no longer available. I wouldn't be concerned with using too strong of a magnet. If you have a dead hard drive, you can get one out of it. If not, I used N48 strength and I thought they could have been a hair stronger...

    The light is mounted from probably 10'. Based on my reading here, that is way to high to get a good shot of a person's face. I will also have to build some sort of wooden mounting block to go between those slats if I mount it to the dark brown wood.
