Dahua camera freezing on motion detect?
I have 4 cameras, 3 of them are the same model, 1 of them isn't the same model, but still 4MP. It also drops out at times, or I'd think maybe firmware.. But it has something to do with the pack duration on my setup, I have it set for 2 hours (max allowed) If I am reviewing recorded footage... -

icamera 1000 & VLC
On VLC with my DAHUA cameras, if I enter only the correct URL for the RTSP stream, a box will popup asking for the username and password. I have to enter it each time I open the stream, I guess the way around that is incorporate the username and password in the stream URL.- badmop

Okay check out this deal... I have (4) cameras set at 1080p, 2048 bitrate, 15FPS. I log into camera (1) and view the stream through VLC (main stream) It plays fine with audio. I go into the NVR and change the bitrate from camera (1) from 2048 to 8000. After a few seconds 1 camera of the 4... -

Auto Maintain - Do I really need this?
It seems like a network issue, maybe your router, switch or something in the middle there. When the cameras lose video, both sub and main, if it is night time go outside and look to see if the IR lights are working. That would help eliminate it being a low power problem, or lack of power... -

I have a huge thread with problems with 4 cameras dropping out, auto reboot is turned on all 4 of those cameras. I'd be curious if that's my problem. I am having cameras drop out about 5 or 6 times a day, give or take. They drop out for about 10 minutes max, sometimes 4-7 minutes. How often... -

No, I haven't tried direct recording to a PC setup, I dread doing all that. I have so many issues with the neighbor that happens almost daily. I will end up trying it soon, I'm thinking again based on a couple things that have happened that it HAS to be the darn hard drive. The only 2 things...
