    I'd like to try it out. Its best practice to stay as current as possible, doesn't have to be the latest. I tend to update once a year and always keep a backup of the old firmware and configs so I can easily restore if I run into issues.

    How would DMSS work on a dual nic setup? wouldn't the cams only be accessible on the dual nic BI computer and not the app on a phone on the main lan? Its one of the reasons I haven't moved away from my VLAN setup, that and 1 wifi cam.

    use the IMOU preset in BI, you don't need the password in the stream link. I have the IOOC and it works great with BI. /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif You can use the Dahua config tool to configure most things, sadly spotlight/siren settings requires the app.
