MINI PTZ V2 - POE not working

Camera works when I use a power supply but not with POE. It is the -E version so it is a POE camera. I'm trying to open it up to see if there is a loose connection but once I remove the 4 screws it only comes apart about 1/4". Has anyone taken one of these apart before? Thanks!

Best lowlight clear 2MP or 3MP IP Camera - Who is on top these days?

That all depends on the application. What are you going to use it for? Inside, outside? Are you looking for bullet, dome, turret, etc?

Yeah, I wouldn't buy one. But if your looking to go black and want matrix IR it's your best option.

LTS LTN8916-P16 4K NVR unboxing, first impressions

The work around is just using the cameras themselves to send the alerts and bypassing the NVR. And D!ngo is correct, it won't work through the NVR's POE ports.

Need a camera capable of picking up license plates from about 200 feet away

If you want wireless you will need to look at other options or use a wireless to Ethernet adapter. Without IR it's going to be very difficult to read license plates at night and IR isn't going to work through a window due to the reflection.

Need a camera capable of picking up license plates from about 200 feet away

For the money you wont find a better more versatile LPR camera than the Huisun 10x Mini PTZ. Mine is permanently dedicated to reading license plates. I would probably go with version 1 as I believe version 2 currently has a focus issue in manual mode when switching from day to night modes...

I have only tried with line crossing and I get no attachments. Aside from that it's a great NVR.

    Buglars that aren't very bright

I was in a similar situation a few years ago and I did go outside not knowing one of them had a shotgun. Luckily I didn't have anything in my car they wanted and they quickly moved on, otherwise I probably would have gotten shot...

LTS has black face turrets. The rest can easily be painted. http://www.ltsecurityinc.com/ip-camera/ip-dome/ip-network-turret-camera-cmip1142w-28.html

opinion about these Axis camera choices for me

You seem to be sold on dome cameras. There are much better options if night vision is a big concern. Take a look at Hikvision turrets.

Street light keeps camera from going to IR... Dark Picture!

There is a way but it will take some effort and trial and error. You will need some electrical tape and an exacto knife. Cover just the light sensor on the camera with tape. This will force it into night mode. With the knife make a very small hole in the tape. Play with the hole size...
