Replace current PC with SFF PC

oicu2- Thanks for the reply. I'll look at the HP Slimline....looking for something that will pretty much be turnkey as I have a lot of other projects in work...otherwise, I would go ahead and put together a new machine like I did for the original BI PC back in 2011.

Replace current PC with SFF PC

Hi- The PC that I built back in 2011 (Win7/[email protected]/8 GB RAM) is giving me issues, so I'm looking to find a suitable replacement. I've noticed that a lot of folks are going to the SFF, specifically looking at older Dell machines. I found one on e-Bay that seems pretty reasonable, price...

    Dead DS-2CD2132-I

bp2008- I bought the same POE adapters...worked pretty well, and has a small form factor. The ethernet connection was in the attic, so I'm not sure what happened....I'm just glad that I was able to save >$100 if I had to replace the cam.

    Dead DS-2CD2132-I

bp2008- Thanks again for your help. I got the 12v DC jack from Amazon the other day. I plugged the cam into it, and to my surprise, I saw a small red LED light up on the PCB. I figured that I now would need to figure out how to run the 12V supply to the cam, and use that instead of the POE...

Hello- I've got a Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I that is no longer working. I was having trouble with the PC that I had running my security camera software (Blue Iris), so the system was down for a while. I had my POE switch providing power to all of the cams in the system for a while. I turned...

Security Cam PC dead...how to transfer BI settings

Thank you for the replies. I have a USB dock that I intend on using as a backup. I actually have a SATA dock built into my PC tower, so I'll just dock the BI drive, and look for the files that I want to keep. BP- I'll take a look at that location in the registry using the link you...

Security Cam PC dead...how to transfer BI settings

Hello- Well...the subject line should say it all....the PC that I build back in 2013 gave up the ghost. I cannot get it to boot, despite various trouble shooting paths I've taken. I'm in the process of getting a new mother board and case to hopefully transplant the CPU, memory, and hard drives...
