If you had unlimited budget for Axis cameras...

Axis cameras are great but you be better off with couple of cheaper cameras with additional motion activated lights than spending all your money on an expensive camera and not adding more lights. I use a Q1798-le for work.

    LPR camera mount suggestion

Mounting LPR camera higher is NOT better as you want a little angle as possible for the LPR to work. Get ONE camera and a long ethernet able and a ladder, test it DAY and NIGHT and see how you like various locations you want to try.

    Alternative to blue iris

My home system is basically set up the way you're wanting yours to work. You can get #1, #2, #3 done pretty easily. #2 is gonna work 3-10 seconds after the fact, but you can definitely get it working. You need a working BI and CodeProject.AI (I prefer run it in Docker in Linux). Once you get...

    LPR camera mount suggestion

I'd actually try something different. Buy the left side camera and installed then try it for the right side and see what result you'd get.

    LPR camera mount suggestion

Orange is where I'd place the camera and red is where I'd put the camera towards. Remember, this camera will only do one task, capture license plate. If you need an overview camera as well, add another camera.

Process speed on Windows GPU Deepstack vs Ubuntu GPU Deepstack

T-average reported by BlueIris are 232ms (Windows) vs 200ms (Ubuntu) on my system with Proxmox and P620 passthrough with 512 cuda cores at the expense of about 30GB harddrive space and few more GB RAM space needed for running another OS, Ubuntu. Mood point now that BI is moving away from DS.

video surveillance for home please help

Useless. I can tell is a non-black person with blue shirt walk across the camera. But there is no way I can ID them. License plate number? Forget it. I can almost read what the license plate says, and better chance of ID the person.

BEWARE: Issue with Deepstack 2022.01.01 and BlueIris

I'm using Proxmox so I can monitor ram usage easily. I'm using Windows 10 VM, P620 GPU bypass, CUDA10, DeepStack-Installer-GPU-2021.09.1.exe, RAM usage is around 4.5GB out of 11GB. That's with five 5mp cameras and four 2mp cameras using the BI optimizing guide. With...

Minimum GPU for Deep Stack, price point vs performance

You'd want a Nvidia card with the most cuda cores you can afford. K600 only has 192 cores. I honestly wouldn't buy a K600 when below are the cost about the same. P400 (256 cores), P600 (384 cores), P620 (512 cores), GT1030 (384 cores)
