Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

I'd be interested in your thoughts on the two, I'm running mostly 2335FWD-I or the varifocal equivalent. All locked in colour with visible LED flood lights on. They're good at 1/25th for still scenes, but I need closer to 1/100th for limiting blur on stills. The YouTube reviews seem to gloss...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

Do you have a fair amount of ambient night lighting e.g. street lights? Can you post some footage with movement?

NVR ds-7608ni-i2/8p firmware upgrade gone wrong.

A lot later build than mine then. It's probably best I found that out after trying the 4.x firmware, as I mightn't have been game enough to risk it.

NVR ds-7608ni-i2/8p firmware upgrade gone wrong.

BTW does anyone know which is better/ more current - Euro or USA firmware?

NVR ds-7608ni-i2/8p firmware upgrade gone wrong.

It's within the serial number- look for YYYYMMDD layout in it. (You can get the serial number up on the "System" info screen.) I got mine working on the latest version 4.x Euro firmware. I'm just not so keen on the way the playback time line works and doing clips is a PITA. BTW if you ever get...

Attempted firmware upgrade on Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P gone bad.

Fixed (or looks to be at this stage.) I downloaded the last 3.9.x Euro firmware and installed that using the web interface and the update on a USB stick plugged into the laptop. That worked and my password was kept. I then updated to the first 4.x series Euro firmware- that also worked...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

I don't have that camera, but I would think they'd need to be on in the dark all the time. They operate like IR light sources on other cameras and enable the camera to see in the dark. It can't detect motion if the light isn't on (it would need some kind of PIR motion detector to do that.)...

    lens help ?

Have you considered paying a little bit more for a varifocal model? You can then adjust it to whatever FOV works best and if you decided to move/ repurpose the camera you're not stuck with the original FOV. I've also found that the varifocal lenses tend to give a clearer picture (better lens...

NVR ds-7608ni-i2/8p firmware upgrade gone wrong.

Danaussie, what's the build date on your 7608NI-I2 and what was your original firmware? Mine is September 2016 build with the BNC connector (apparently that makes a difference to firmware) and I'm wondering if I can get V4.x working?

NVR ds-7608ni-i2/8p firmware upgrade gone wrong.

I was told the same about bricking going from V3xxx to V4xxx by my Aussie seller- because there are hardware differences. Yet, you go to the US site and it says it can be done but a certain procedure has to be followed. (I don't have the link on me.) Mine is currently playing up due to...

    Hikvision DS-9632NI-I8 bitrate issue?

I had similar issues using H264+ on a 7608 NVR. Suffice to say I don't use that feature now, it was too unreliable.

4ch dahua nvr, huge delay when playing back recordings? normal??

How have you found changing from the Hikvision to Dahua NVR (apart from the slow playback mentioned?) Are you using any Hik cameras on it?

Attempted firmware upgrade on Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P gone bad.

So, fast forward a couple of years and I notice there's a later version Aussie specific firmware, so I update. Once again I get locked out and need the xml unlock file. Only this time I've got other bugs in the NVR operation. The seller (who also unlocked it the first time) has said I've done...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

It would be good if they showed someone walking around in the area in that footage. In my experience, you need a minimum 1/50th (or 1/60th) exposure time to have any hope of getting a meaningful picture of a person (eg. a still shot from the video for ID purposes) at night. My Hik cameras all...

Mic options for Turrent and Bullet cameras?

The Hikvision one I used/ mentioned requires 12VDC power to operate. It's an excellent mic and worth the added installation inconvenience of requiring 12V power to operate. I already had a small 12V off grid solar system, so I've powered the mic from that (directly off the battery, so not a...

New Hik 4MP "Powered by Darkfighter" DS-2CD2H45FWD-IZS DS-2CD2345FWD-I

I've got some mains powered sensor lights that come on if there's any activity in that area and their extra light puts it back into day/colour (after the shortest delay setting which is 5 seconds IIRC.) That's good enough for my purposes.

New Hik 4MP "Powered by Darkfighter" DS-2CD2H45FWD-IZS DS-2CD2345FWD-I

No, I haven't got any. What sort of prices have you found? I've got two of the 3MP varifocal model, which is a step up from the fixed lens 3MP models (I've got 4mm and 6mm.) The image is a lot sharper, but the varifocals do seem to be slightly less sensitive in lower light and will switch to...

No Motion Recording on Dahua Camera Connected to Hikvision NVR

You also need to set-up the Dahua via its Web based interface. You won't get any motion events shown on the NVR during playback (on the time line) from what I've found. You'll need to do a manual search and then playback each event manually, a PITA.
