Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

This is the tripline that sends the message to the NVR when someone walks down the steps late at night. The Alarm output on the NVR is connected to a switch which sends a wireless signal to a Smartthings hub, which then connects to Alexa to activate several Philips Hue lights. Here is a video of...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

On my house I also keep the front dark, except between 11pm and 6am. One of the cameras is focused on the steps leading down into my yard, and if someone crosses that tripline, it sends an alarm signal to the NVR which then tells Alexa to turn on ALL the outside lights around the house and...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Wow, I am learning so much by following this thread. Read your comment about turning AFSA on and configured it for two of my cameras. Just did a walk test and was amazed at what it does. Didn't even know it existed. Thanks!

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Here is a quick comparison video I made of the IPC-Color4M-T and IPC-T54PRO-ZE. SETUP: Both cameras were set up as close as possible with the same focal length and placement. To match the 3.6mm of the Color 4M-T, I set the zoom of the T54PRO-ZE to “173.” The distance of the cameras’ target was...

Latest Stable Firmware and Download Source - T54IR-ZE & T54IR-Z4E-S3

firmware download: https://empiretech01.com/pages/download-firmwares As Bigredfish noted above, each scene will be different and will change throughout the year, but I generally start those cameras off with these settings: Compression=H.264.H Encoding=General Frame rate=15 I Frame interval=15...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

I compared the new T54PRO-EZ to my 3449PRO, which I have overlooking my front door. The result its that I like the 3449PRO more for that application. The 3449PRO has much better (more evenly spread) illumination in complete darkness, and the image is great. For me, the T54PRO-EZ is better as an...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

The PFB203 works fine with the new cam. All you will need to do is drill three new holes, as I did in the attached photo.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Just received the new cam via UPS, and the good news is that the driver didn't throw it over the fence this time. Opened the box and was surprised to see power cables instead of paper or styrofoam pellets padding the inside. Can't ever have too many power cables, but I am wondering...WHY? ha ha

How do i factory reset the IPC-Color4K-T ?

Looks like the reset button might be missing on your camera. I just pulled one of my 4K-T's down to take this picture of the button.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

I’m using the Chrome browser on my Macintosh and didn’t install the plugin. Seems to work fine. I upgraded from a 8-channel 2AI to the new 16-channel 2AI. Nice upgrade, and it was an easy migration.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Here are a few pictures. Sorry about the quality, but the TV is in a room with lots of skylights and blinds. As you can see, quite an update. It will be interesting to see what the vehicle entrance and exit is. Oops...for some reason it isn't allowing to post more than one photo.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Just received the NVR16CH-16P-2AI-S2 today, so expecting the IPC-T54PRO-ZE cameras to arrive shortly. After swapping 2 HD's into the new NVR, and plugging in the cameras, the NVR booted up perfectly. Easiest upgrade ever. Wow, wasn't expecting such an updated interface. Looks nice and is very...

Confusion around Day/Night switch utility and newer Dahua cameras

When I knew nothing about security cameras, I had a local security company install cameras at my house. Immediately discovered problems and asked for help from the installer. All of the installer's other customers had been on PC's, but I am a Mac user; so he made the effort to come out and try...

    My review of the SDT8C842-8P-FA-APV-0280 2×1/1.8" CMOS 8MP 42x (versus the PTZ1A2M-25X 2MP 25×)

I'm looking forward to reading your review. Comparison of the two cameras sounds interesting, and I appreciate how much work compiling everything entails.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

For the 4K-T180, just the camera's built-in LEDs, the B54IR-Z4E the built-in IR, the Color 4K-X has a 40-watt 3000 lumen LED light shining on the driveway, and then two additional LED lights turn on with motion.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

I ordered a T54PRO-ZE last night, possibly to replace one of my 4K-X or 4K-T cameras, but those cameras have been fantastic. The oft maligned 4K-X 6mm is one of my favorites. I guess I was lucky to receive a great working unit. In this clip from about 4am this morning I really like the color...

    IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 Sound Quality?

As Looney mentioned, a good place to start is: AAC audio encoding 64000 sampling rate Noise filter turned "off" start with microphone volume at 90 and work up or down from there Though this doesn't address the lack of volume that you mention, making a windscreen to fit over the mic is helpful...

Apple TV Viewing of Cam Streams?

Yes, that is what I did. Four TV's in the house connected to the NVR's HDMI output by ethernet. Works great.

    IPC-B54IR-ZE-S3 vs IPC-B54IR-Z4E-S3?

The Z4E is the favorite out of all of my cameras. That should work great for you. 25 cameras? Wow, that is impressive!

    IPC-B54IR-ZE-S3 vs IPC-B54IR-Z4E-S3?

Both are great, but I prefer the IR on the Z4E, and the animal detection works well on both.

    Five cameras for monitoring

I finally got around to installing another Color 4K-T180 camera. This time to monitor the street behind my house. I love how five of the cameras can follow someone around the property, and the PTZ is set up to capture license plates.

    Nope, only IVS turned on.

    IPC-Color4M-T vs IPC-T54IR-ZE White

Yes, it is scene dependent and not IVS. Smart Illumination needs to be "on."

    IPC-Color4M-T vs IPC-T54IR-ZE White

Actually, the Color4M-T that I have on the front door is 3.6mm. It allows me just enough of the walkway and identification at the door to work well. I had previously tried a 2.8mm, 6mm, and variable 2.7-12mm. A 2.8mm looks like it will work well for your placement. Have you considered rotating...

    IPC-Color4M-T vs IPC-T54IR-ZE White

Yep, and don't overlook the great built-in speaker. It's fun to setup greetings for visitors and especially nice for Halloween.

    IPC-Color4M-T vs IPC-T54IR-ZE White

I've replaced my T54IR cameras with Color4M-T cameras. Much better IR at night (nicer spread and coverage without the hotspot like the T54IR) and for monitoring the front door, I love how the warm light turns on when it detects motion.
