    In my two cases 3.6 is the only real choice. One because of the confined area and the other because I want to get as much detail as possible at about 25-35ft so that little extra zoom helps.

    Yep DoLynk Cloud is their new cloud system. Big help to installers... Not yet sure it is for consumers.? Also lays groundwork for a model for subscriptions

    I could argue that past 20-25ft ANY 3.6mm is beginning to lose optimal focus and detail. But I haven't played with a 2.8 so can't compare Both are ultimately going to be an overview cam, though I enjoy it as an ID cam in my location from 6-12ft

    I believe so. It does have an obvious benefit for my AS fixed lens. I have two cameras out back that shine added IR into the yard and dock and the AS responds well to the added IR. basically extends my IR range and allows me to run a 0-3 - 0-4 ms exposure without much noise or blur

    Note that typically, on Dahua gear, Illegal Login in the log means they "tried and failed", and based on the number of attempts set on the device, were blocked for some time duration (also a setting) Willing to bet you are still port forwarding or UPnP is enabled @alastairstevenson mentioned...

    Bright sunlight and a bit overexposed I think. along with serious shadows

    You should be fine, 6-25ft is good on mine. I prefer the bullet 45ft to center of street 12ft 20ft Where he steps onto the grass is 20-21ft Back corner of cart is 12ft Front bumper of cart/garbage can is 6ft Rear of his truck about 30ft
