Can the cameras in BI6 not be arranged the same way as in BI5?
Most or all of Blue Iris 6's layout differences were done in Blue Iris 5, so I'm guessing you were running quite an old version of BI 5. You're probably referring to the old "1-up", "4-up", etc options. Those are still available, but you need to click the "edit layout" button Then right...- bp2008

20-50 Mbps is a lot more than enough for good remote camera viewing. The performance issue is probably just from bad latency and/or packet loss. Unless your VPN solution is relayed through a third party that isn't performing well.- bp2008

Also worth a look at your Streaming 0 profile configuration in Blue Iris (find this in BI Settings > Web server > Advanced) and reset that profile to defaults.- bp2008

The camera config looks fine, and the BI Status > Cameras looks fine (except that sub stream frame rates are mostly lower than the main stream, but I doubt that is related to this resolution issue). I am unaware of any recent bugs that would cause this. The only way I know of to have UI3 get "stuck" with a substream is to restart the camera while UI3 is actively streaming it. At least in the past, Blue Iris would fail to switch to sending the main stream if UI3 requested the video feed...- bp2008

You should contact Blue Iris support about it. It is definitely broken and with no hint of what is wrong, that is really the only thing I can think of to do. Service mode is a good idea even if only just so that if Blue Iris crashes it will start again automatically.- bp2008

They did mess around with hardware acceleration around the end of BI 5.x and start of 6.x. You should complain to Blue Iris support because that is a huge performance regression. In the meantime, are you using sub streams in your Blue Iris configuration? It'll save a massive amount of CPU if... -

I do see that you are currently using Nvidia hardware decoding on all those cameras. I do not know if that is in a good functional state right now but my past experience with Blue Iris's hardware acceleration says you just shouldn't use it anymore. -

If you are running Blue Iris 6, then typically the Blue Iris 5 folder is not used anymore. Blue Iris 6 installs by default into a folder with no number in the name. Just "Blue Iris".
