Saw tooth BI CPU usage - Coral TPU/A310 GPU & AMD EYPC

Hi Guys Seeing this in my CPU usage. I've had a fair shot using AI to try and work out why but I cant beat it. Cameras are 15FPS with 15FPS substreams and 2MP cameras - 7 of them with 3 using 4MP, Intel Beta hardware decoding on the Intel ARC 310 GPU with Deepstack AI using a Coral Google TPU...

Loosing my patience with BI, what have they done to it..

Boom, .73 works. Thanks guys! How is it when you hit download full version, that dodgy 5.9.9.99 is the version it sends you to. Its 100% broken

Loosing my patience with BI, what have they done to it..

Didnt realise IP camtalk has the versions for download - brilliant. I had a go at BI for removing old versions, forcing people to update their license if expired when they rebuild their PC and cant find the old version. Dodgy practices. Thanks TonyR, will do that now.

Loosing my patience with BI, what have they done to it..

Using 5.9.9.99, I just downloaded the 'full version' from their website. I was not given an option to download a particular version, but BI is set to updates 'off' I dont use any AI stuff CPU usage is very high also, 25% on an AMD EYPC 7452 (32 cores, 64Ts) with Intel ARC A310 GPU and...

Loosing my patience with BI, what have they done to it..

It used to be rock solid, then they started this crap by removing old versions so if you didnt upgrade your support you couldnt find the old version. Its just f@ked. Anyway, I thought i'd be smart and update to the latest version. Boy was that a stupid idea. Nothing works now. I can connect...

Which nVidia GPUs are you using?

Hi Guys, can anyone recommend a GPU to use with my AMD EYPC 7472 (32 cores, 64 threads). Its going into a Proxmox system where BI will be virtualised. I have 12 cameras. Ideally only consume a single slot and NOT use an extra power connect if possible. Im not using any BI AI features but...

GPU for BlueIris with 4K cameras

Hi All, Considereing a Intel ARC A750 card, will this work as well as the Quick Sync that occured on the Intel onboard GPUs from earlier days? Effectively looking for a low cost solution for only BI decoding of the Dahua camera streams either via GPU or via CPU (ideally CPU) Thanks!

Bit lost on how to best configure this scenario set

I dont want it, thats right. We dont want the camera tracking people in the workshop area, theres alot of movement and would prefer a more general/fixed view of the area rather than the camera moving constantly.

    Auto Track on Schedule

Hi All I can see in the IVS setup for Tracking that you can track without presets, but it appears to either be ON or OFF, no schedule. I'm trying to auto track in my presets on Cycle, but only after business hours (using BlueIris) Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks!

Bit lost on how to best configure this scenario set

Thanks Mike, I've got all that setup. Now really I just need to work out how to only have Auto Tracking using a Schedule, but that seems to be a Dahua specific thing, not a BI thing

Bit lost on how to best configure this scenario set

Hi All, I'm using BI with a Dahua PTZ camera with Auto Track/IVS features. In blue iris, I've setup global profiles to define work hours and out of work hours. I've also defined three presets (Workshop, Lunch Area, Garage) but this was setup inside the Dahua Webpage for the Camera. What I...

Alternatives to Blueiris that are more enterprise

Hi All, Looking for an alternative to BlueIris , something which has role based LDAP authentication and can support up to 32 cameras. They will be a mixed of turrent and PTZ Dahua units . Any suggestions? Thanks

Digital I/O's and signalling other cameras

Hi All, Im setting up 4 x PTZ cameras for a warehouse. They will be high end Dahua units. As its critical to get motion based movement I want to determine if this is possible with the cameras set to 'Always record' no , motion (software) based recording. 1) Cameras connect to a 12V PIR on one...

Another, what hardware. Rack mount/Quick Sync/25 cameras on BI

Awesome, it will be in a server room so hot swap drives would be OK. Will look into SM units

Another, what hardware. Rack mount/Quick Sync/25 cameras on BI

Fair enough, sounds like the fastest i9 or i10 desktop CPU I can get, with 3600+ ram (32GB I assume) Might have to build something custom in a rack enclosure.

Another, what hardware. Rack mount/Quick Sync/25 cameras on BI

thanks bp2008, I'd imagine they would want about 20FPS just to be fluid. Definitily dont want to limit decoding but the sub stream im not sure about. Typically they will access the cameras with a web browser and the mobile device app. Where is the substream generally used? Given they want high...

Another, what hardware. Rack mount/Quick Sync/25 cameras on BI

Needs to be rack mounted, ideally something from HP/Dell/Supermicro. Requirement will be recording from 20 to 25 x Dahua IPC-T5442T-ZE at full resolution and it will be likely set to always record - going into a manufacturing facility. Price is no real barrier, performance is. So I guess an...

Using Cameras to trigger lights in BI - false positives

Hi All, Im having a reoccuring issue in that the lights will come on due to motion detected by the camera (great) but when the lights go off, the contrast change, I assume, is triggering the lights to go on again. Ive played with object size and contrast but making them less sensitive stops...

Running BI in Virtualbox, will Intel hardware acceleration work?

hi ctsik, i cant recall now, but i got rid of it. It was just a pain in the arse to do, and not worth the effort. It all came down to drivers from memory.
