Progressive Liberal Hypocrisy

100%. And those who think there's better places to be should figure out how to get there, and I'd be happy to pack their bags and wish them a pleasant journey.
Hell, I'll give 'em a ride to the airport!

Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro, Madonna, Kathy Griffin and Jonny Depp come to my mind. At least Tina Turner put legs on her intentions years ago......

Kudos to Rosie for her stunt. She seems fickle though and I expect her back in a couple years.

this reach is unbelievable. I wonder if a committee of climate wackos all flew chartered jets to some European country to calculate the damage done by deportation flights.

She's still trying to do "journalism"? Too bad most recognize her as "poop girl".
She makes a valid point in the video and lays that hypocracy bare. What the hell is this "poop girl" reference? Never heard of it.

EDIT: I laughed that Grok said "No SOLID evidence confirms" the rumor you mention. Perhaps there was liquid evidence??

I'd agree she found a hypocritical dummy there... the problem with these types of videos is you don't know how many people she tried to catch that day before she ran into a dum one. Reminds me of Jessie Watters interviewing people down in Washington Square Park for Bill O'Reilly back in the day. He could always find a doozie.

BTW, I'm one of those "most" people who does not know that dum is correctly spelled with a b at the end. :winktongue:

I had to google "poop girl" too. :lmao:

Why The Left Is Wrong About Taxing The Rich - Patrick Boyle

TRIGGERnometry Clips

In this video, financial commentator Patrick Boyle joins TRIGGERnometry to discuss why he believes popular left-wing economic policies, specifically wealth taxes and rent control, are counterproductive and fail to address the underlying economic issues they aim to solve.

Key takeaways from the discussion:

  • The Fallacy of Wealth Taxes (2:50 - 5:00): Boyle argues that wealth taxes are often driven by the "politics of envy" rather than sound economic strategy. He notes that even if a government were to confiscate all billionaire wealth, it would only cover a fraction of national spending while disincentivizing investment and harming productivity. He also highlights how complex, "lumpy" tax systems can create perverse incentives that discourage hard work.
  • Unintended Consequences (6:00 - 8:00): The discussion highlights the law of unintended consequences. High-tax policies or aggressive wealth redistribution often push highly mobile, productive individuals and capital out of the country, which ultimately damages the economy for everyone.
  • The Problem with Rent Control (8:52 - 11:30): Boyle uses the example of New York City to explain why rent control distorts markets. It discourages landlords from investing in property maintenance and leads to inefficiencies where housing is not allocated effectively. He asserts that the core issue in cities like London is a lack of supply caused by restrictive planning regulations, rather than a pricing issue that can be fixed by government caps.
  • The Need for Productivity (1:27 - 2:20): Ultimately, Boyle emphasizes that the UK and other developed nations need to focus on spurring productivity and growth by reducing government interference and streamlining regulation, rather than relying on populist "quick fixes" that sound good but cause long-term harm.
