No problem with updates to the White House and the updates themselves are not the issue... but what's the big rush? And why does it have to be funded by secret donors and companies seeking favor? (like Palantir, various crypto companies, and all sorts of companies with government contracts)

IMHO, it's really just another small part of the overall Trump grift. Does anyone really believe that Trump himself is contributing a penny for this?

Do they really think the free buses won't be packed with homeless drunks, addicts and metally-ill people all night at the first onset of cold weather? Heck, I'd prefer to ride around in circles all night in a warm bus instead of freezing my a$$ off on the sidewalk or park bench.

That's what the subway is for... buses you gotta get off at the last stop... off-hours it might be a while in the cold before the next bus. Don't mind that the subway isn't free because these days it essentially is...

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power .. looks like Karen Bass is the responsible person, not Newsom ..

Oversight and Policy: Policy is set by a five-member Board of Water and Power Commissioners. These board members are appointed by the Mayor of Los Angeles and confirmed by the City Council.

My guess is Newscum is aware of L.A.s budgets, maybe not down to what each person makes but probably not that hard to do some quick, in your head math to know they are over paid...

If I remember correctly, LADWP was (is?) charging insane rates and kicking back money to the city. The city then gets a revenue stream while simultaneously claiming to keep "low taxes" a priority.
