Rainbow glare in the morning
I just installed a new camera and notice when the sun hits it directly in the morning between 8 - 10 AM, there is rainbow glare all over the lens, as the day passes the glare is gone. Anyway to resolve this? -

Mutiple bins when flashing firmware
Is it normal to flash a camera multiple times, i was looking at the steps for T54IR, it seems you need to flash the base FW then another one on top for the AI. Wondering if this is common, I never bothered flashing a second file on top but when checking my other dahua cameras they do have a... -

Thoughts on Lorex E893DD
tried my best to dial in settings on the E893DD for better low light, but it's just bad. I can likely improve things if i use the spotlight but really don't want that on due to its location. My issue with the 54IR is that it's obviously not able to capture as much detail since it's not 4K 8MP... -

The E893DD is actually excellent in the day, enough to capture a license plate and clear faces, but grainy at night. 54IR is excellent at night but overall picture quality isn't that much better than the HDW2431T. -

Went ahead and installed it as in my testing they looked comparable, but I'm extremely disappointed my old dying HDW2431T is so much better than the Lorex 4K at low light. Might have to bite the bullet and get the EmpireTech T54IR, it does have person and vehicle detection? -

SMD vs IVS
Yes some of my trip wire are multiple points, the reason there are many rules is to cover all areas going to the front door and to the side of the house. But good to know I have to many rules, will try to reduce them. -

SMD vs IVS
I get the difference between SMD and IVS, have been using IVS on all my cameras but testing SMD. The Lorex firmware does not have SMD options and when you check IVS it has no intrusion or trip wire options only Smart Motion. It looks like Smart Motion = intrusion, but still no trip wire. Just... -

Cars driving by are a blur, the picture quality at night is better but overall, it's not what I was hoping for with a 4K camera. 4K means more storage but not a significant improvement in image quality. I have two HDW2431Ts but one has become really slow and crashes, resetting has not helped... -

Thanks for the info, guess I'll stick it in front of a window to test the color night vision at the very least. The camera is mounted really high so would only replace it if it's better than my current. -

The Lorex is 1/2.8" vs my current 1/3”, so isn't the Lorex sensor bigger thus meaning it will capture more light? What if I run it at 6MP or 4MP? -

Yes, one of the main reasons to get it was the built-in AI to prevent false positives, the camera will look over a driveway. I have streetlights so it's not super dark at night. As long as it performs better than HDW2431T during the night I'm okay with it, currently I have HDW2431T set to... -
