Humans are racing against time to find a new habitable planet

Isn't it accepted that due to the distances involved that this is a fruitless and waste of money exercise? Same reason why we have to date not managed to contact or had contact from any aliens, in astronomy things are measured in light years so 1AU (astronomical unit) so even if we figure out...

Switching to new PC and STRUGGLING....

I typically leave a few 100Gb free, as said above BI can temp go over the allocated amount if it's writing to a current clip file and the maint to remove older clips to bring the space back down hasn't yet run. Not too sure on this but Windows when managing the disk also doesn't like it if you...

Poe reolink doorbell camera with empire tech wise net NVR

Not an expert but if you have plugged it into your NVR then the NVR controls the IP address that it allocates so the doorbell then will lose direct internet connectivity ?

New Cisco switch not powering Hik cams

Unless I'm reading it all wrong, according to this site it doesn't. Is the model for the working one the exact same? https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-3560-cx-series-switches/datasheet-c78-733229.html

New Cisco switch not powering Hik cams

If the switch has POE it will have a P in the model number. Assuming that it does have a P then does this not sound like a faulty switch? Try plugging a laptop into it and see if the lights on the "faulty" switch actually light up?

Is CCA cable really that bad? Should I rip it out?

My "office" has old cat5 stranded cabling, essentially long patch cables, that's all I had handy at that time. Unfortunately it has been run behind the skirting so would be a real bitch to replace, but it copes with 1gig with no issues. Yes it it proper copper and not CCA but I'm not planning on...

Is CCA cable really that bad? Should I rip it out?

My view is simple, yes don't use for new runs but if my house was covered in it I'd not intentionally rip it all out, I'd replace it as and when I spot issues with particular runs.

How is OnlyFans NORMAL? THIS IS GROSS.

Interesting, she is promoting her sport as she states with no nudity or other dodgy content except her in her sports attire. To be honest if that what she needs to do to survive then good on her I say. It is interesting though as you've already made up your mind :) When TeamViewer used to...

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

If the Bot is grabbing the updates from the main BI downloads updates page then I've complained on the other BI forum that the download is not always correct but little to nothing seems have been done and the issue still persists.

Has 6.0.5.8 been pulled ? Thought I saw a reference to it but then 6.0.5.7 is now classed as stable, also the release notes have update info on 6.0.5.8 ? Info for people here, the 6.0.6.0 download on this site actually downloads 6.0.5.7 ?
