    The Nostalgia Thread

The word BULLETIN BOARD got my attention as I did run a BBS dedicated to girly photos back before the internet became popular and when you needed a second DSL phone line dedicated to the Commadore 64.

    The Nostalgia Thread

I was thrilled at the time to be able to buy a 500 Meg hard drive at the cost of a week's gross pay.

One camera goes missing then comes back

Maybe try adding again as a new camera in BI and do the normal find/inspect routine. I had one PTZ that went crazy when its configuration files somehow became corrupt. I thought the camera was a goner but reinstalling it took care of the problem.

One camera goes missing then comes back

Florida humidity could have compromised a connection in the Ethernet cable or connectors. I have had a few issues over the years.

Point to Point Wireless Bridge Recomendations

EDITED: I would jump on Tonys offer there. I did not notice that he had them for sale ..... I use those Loco5-ac units but those are overpriced to me. BHPhoto sells them for $49 each but you would need to buy 2 24V PoE Adapters which are sold separatly. $9.00 at BHPhoto also. You would need...

What model do I have? How to find out from Web UI?

That's fantastic TonyR! created one hell of a long file. My testing showed a few pages in as: "table.All.ChannelTitle[0].Name=T5442T-ZE ip124" I suppose using the "find" function and searching the last digits of your IP may help in the search as my IP is 10.0.0.124 which showed as 124 in the...

Looking for an outdoor version of Amcrest IP2M-841B-V3

I have used a couple of those cameras mounted outside using plastic electrical boxes. They performed well for a couple years before being repurposed for inside use. I powered them via POE and used 5 volt power splitters.

    Auto-track PTZ camera for dog

It is not tracking a specific thing like an 'animal', it is simply detection and processing a change in scene or movement. In Blueiris I use its built in 'Motion sensor' and/or 'ONVIF/camera events. It can be a challenge to keep false alerts down but my cameras all record continuous.
