New Uniview Owl Wise color IP camera vs IR camera

No. It is a screen shot on the UI3 taken at 2 AM This was the night of the full moon which was directly behind the outbuilding I have the camera mounted on. Our house is a very light cream color (almost light yellow) and I was totally amazed at the image. Yes it looks like daylight. Here is...

New Uniview Owl Wise color IP camera vs IR camera

It's not a sidewalk. Nobody is in the backyard at 2AM so no video of people. There is some motion blur when there is no full moon and the "white light" is not on. With the camera light on, or full moon there is virturally no motion blur. I just installed the camera so I don't have much...

New Uniview Owl Wise color IP camera vs IR camera

I upgaded from the UNI 4MP 2.8mm Bullet (IPC2124SR3-ADPF28M-F) to the new UNV Owl Wise 4MP 2.8mm Bullet (IPC2314SR-ADF28KM-WP) "night vision". Wow. Here are two side by side. The BW infrared vs the Color Owl Wise. Both are at 02:00 AM, the Owl WIse was with no "smart illumination -(off) and...

One camera "no video" for unexplained 6+ hour gap

UniFi let me set IP for any device as static Both the router and UNIVIEW camera configuration are matched static IP’s DHCP is off at both ends for the cameras The pool is wide open but that’s irrelevant using static as I understand it

One camera "no video" for unexplained 6+ hour gap

"Possibility" something to do with router? The Unifi did not have a static IP set, but I remember setting one for each Cam 1 and Cam 2. But today only Cam 1 had the static IP so perhaps something happened? Will monitor it, and it has been reset to static.

One camera "no video" for unexplained 6+ hour gap

I don't think the IR died... sunrise and daylight was well before the 8:42 AM when the camera suddenly resumed recording. I checked all the settings on the camera interface and nothing changed. I don't think the camera has a log, not sure will check. The cameras are on static IP's.

One camera "no video" for unexplained 6+ hour gap

I checked the video this morning and discovered that one of my cameras (I only run two!) stopped recording about 1AM and showed "no video" and then began recording around 8AM. Camera 1 had no interruptions, just Camera 2. I checked the database logs and rebuilt the DB but there were no apparent...

I upgraded to Windows 11, new CPU, Memory, and a Motherboard - Success!

I decided to upgrade just my CPU, memory, and Motherboard. I was on an older I7-6700, which worked fine... but I the annoying "Windows end of life" messages...time to upgrade to Windows 11 (which I use on my laptop and main computers). The current CPU and motherboard were not eligible for the...

Camera IP changed on it's own

Excellent information. My search words did not pull up this known issue (I tried looking first before posting). So I can roll back, should it be 5.6.2 or an earlier version? He said "newer than" so I want to be sure. I don't need to be a "beta tester" :)

Camera IP changed on it's own

BTW I am using Ubiquiti UDM and the cameras are set to fixed IP's. I went back and looked at the BI Log again and the IP showed access by the IP for my Iphone... but I have no idea why that happened. I did not log in remotely that morning. Stumped.

Camera IP changed on it's own

A few days ago my IP address for CAM 1 changed on it's own to the IP address for CAM 2. I am only running two Uniview 4K cameras on BI with CPAI. Never a problem. We were not home, so I can't understand why CAM 1 suddenly began recording with the IP of CAM 2...so I ended up with duplicate...
