US Elections (& Politics) :)

Ut oh, if he bumped his head he might revert back to his pre-stroke self.

imho that is not right .. should have let them retire early for their service

WASHINGTON (AP) — A group of 17 transgender members of the Air Force are suing the U.S. government over what they say is the military's unlawful revocation of their early retirement pensions and benefits.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court Monday, comes several months after the Air Force confirmed that it would deny all transgender service members who have served between 15 and 18 years the option to retire early and would instead separate them without retirement benefits.

If that was the contract with them then I agree. An agreement is an agreement.

Damn, every one of those son's of bitches sent to DC is corrupt. I don't care what party it is. It's just fun and games with the rules are for thee not for me. No accountability.

That part, not finding illegal healthcare is good. But it’s not the major cost savings everyone wants to make it out to be in the big picture. It’s a small part.
By cancelling or not funding ACA they are doing so to the detriment of everyone.
All health insurance will go UP not down.

It’s already starting

You know my thought, if there is/was something major on Trump in the Epstein files/case don't you think it would of definitely came out before the Election, why would they hold it back and let Trump win? Doesn't make sense to me...
I'm starting smelling a backhanded deal between the parties. They bring up a vote on the Epstein files, and one party scuttles it. Then they bring it up again and the other party scuttles it. Then they all get to say "We voted to release the Epstein files, but the [Repubs, Dems] voted to block it.

Oh and pre-existing conditions? Blood Pressure, asthma, depression, diabetes? Sorry, Insurance can deny that. That's a big part of why ACA was enacted.
This was THE big problem with the old system, but in solving it the dems added a bunch of costly, unnecessary, and socialist stuff that added control and cost to the entire system. They didn't let a good crisis go to waste, extending government power and meddling.

I think everyone is fooling themselves buying into the current narrative that the ACA model is the problem.

It actually solved some problems as you admit.

Costs aren’t going down, they’re going up and healthcare not subsidized by the .gov will go back to the reason 65-70% if ALL voters surveyed want to keep it.

The free for all created by dropping ACA, preconditions, insurers pulling out, premiums vastly different for lots of people (lack of pools) lack of standards in plans, lack of cost caps, along with rising costs, will not be what some seem to think it will be.

Blaming housing and healthcare costs on illegals is going to backfire when folks realize that wasn’t the reason after all.

Notes for those who have reading comprehension issues:
  • housing costs should and are coming down now that sales have stagnated. That and building more houses to ease supply. Price is why they stagnated. Inflation from money printing is why the price shot up
  • I’m all for illegals getting booted out and not covering their social safety net costs.

They got caught trying to line their own pockets in the CR bill that was supposed to be "clean"

There is NOT a single fucking Republican member of Congress worth two fucks.

They are lying their asses off to you, and too many fools keep believing them when they say something pretty on TV.

THEY'RE LAUGHING AT YOU

11 to 14 million illegals were living somewhere. Sure, some of them were living in the gubernors house or in gubermint funded hotels in NYC. Makes you wonder how many of those corporate purchases of rental homes in your neighborhood housed some and if they received gubermint money to house them. My point is that illegals were not helping our situation in this country. Let's get them the hell out to take away using them as an excuse for a lot of our woes.

I believe it would help to drop coverage for convenience abortions, sex change procedures, a bunch of other not medically necessary items I don't have memorized, plus the added bureaucracy. This added bureaucracy has destroyed the independent doctor model. Almost all of them work for corporations now, with departments of previously unnecessary droids to handle the paperwork and regulations. In my town there were 3 orthopedic businesses before ACA, now thanks to the bureaucracy, there is one. There used to be two large cancer treatment organizations, now it's down to one. In addition to fixing a few major problems, the ACA destroyed the whole big-picture medical system and turned it into something more expensive and less responsive. The promise of keeping your doctor and keeping your insurance exposes the whole thing as a big lie. But I agree there's no going back. The system is permanently wrecked.

Agree.
My point, was that as far as Healthcare and Housing specifically, the two big things lately everyone wants to blame on illegals, I just think you're going to find they arent even close to the biggest part of costs.
How many are young and healthy?
I dont recall being to a hospital or doctor until well into my 30s or 40's.
And they aren't buying $400,000 homes

getting rid of them all isnt going to fix the economy, but it does make for red meat campaign slogans.
