I would not be so certain of the mid-term elections condition.
Only because the one thing I am certain of is, ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN.
That anything includes UCMJ proceedings (which may have already occurred) if courts refuse to handle indictments for treason and/or conspiracy to commit treason.

Israel blames UN for Gaza food shortage, 800 truckloads of aid wait for UN delivery.
Security official says UN refuses to deliver aid waiting at the Kerem Shalom crossing, aiming for Hamas to once again control the aid and its distribution; after pressure from EU, Israel allows aid to enter from Egypt, Jordan.

Some 800 trucks carrying food and essential supplies are waiting inside Gaza, the IDF said, while the UN and aid agencies fail to collect them because of disputes with Israel.

"The UN is working to prevent the supply of aid, aiming for the distribution to be in the hands of Hamas to control and dispense the aid to the population. We are aware of the disturbing images coming from the Strip, but Israel is not causing the catastrophe," A security official said.

Speaker Johnson: House Has Codified 50 Trump Executive Orders
The House of Representatives has so far voted to codify 50 of President Donald Trump's executive actions, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.

"The American people gave President Trump a clear mandate to enact his America First agenda — and House Republicans are answering that call. To date, we've voted to codify 50 of the President's executive orders into law, from reining in waste, fraud, and abuse to cutting bureaucratic red tape that has strangled America's innovators, job creators, and entrepreneurs," Johnson said in a press release.

"The last four years under [former] President Joe Biden made painfully clear how quickly progress can be undone unless Congress steps in. That's why House Republicans are working around the clock to codify President Trump's executive actions and enshrine his historic agenda into law."

A senior Department of Justice official met with longtime Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell for six hours on Thursday in Tallahassee, Florida.

The meeting between Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and Maxwell occurred in downtown Tallahassee at the U.S. attorney's office, which is located inside the federal courthouse, sources familiar with the matter said.

Maxwell initiated the meeting, multiple sources told ABC News.

Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and other charges and sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022, which she is serving at a federal prison in Tallahassee. She is appealing her conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Alina Habba on Thursday announced that she is now the Acting US Attorney for New Jersey after district court judges ousted her from her post earlier this week.

Alina Habba’s term as interim US Attorney expires on Friday at 11:59 pm so Trump and Bondi outmaneuvered the activist judges.

Habba resigned as Interim US Attorney and is now Acting US Attorney for New Jersey.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump signed a bill Thursday canceling about $9 billion that had been approved for public broadcasting and foreign aid as Republicans look to lock in cuts to programs targeted by the White House’s Department of Government Efficiency.

The bulk of the spending being clawed back is for foreign assistance programs. About $1.1 billion was destined for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which finances NPR and PBS, though most of that money is distributed to more than 1,500 local public radio and television stations around the country.

The White House had billed the legislation as a test case for Congress and said more such rescission packages would be on the way.

Some Republicans were uncomfortable with the cuts, yet supported them anyway, wary of crossing Trump or upsetting his agenda. Democrats unanimously rejected the cuts but were powerless to stop them.

The White House says the public media system is politically biased and an unnecessary expense. Conservatives particularly directed their ire at NPR and PBS. Lawmakers with large rural constituencies voiced grave concern about what the cuts to public broadcasting could mean for some local public stations in their state. Some stations will have to close, they warned.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, said the stations are “not just your news — it is your tsunami alert, it is your landslide alert, it is your volcano alert.”

The lefties believe what they're told to believe and vote for who they're told to vote for. And not that many years ago they we're laughing about Trump, as were many conservatives.
